Well, it is very convenient for students since Sainsbury is just 10mins walk away from campus. There are plenty of stuffs there and some of them can’t be found in Malaysia so it’s pretty awesome! Sales are offered from time to time so the prices are quite reasonable. For example, 8 chicken drumstick for £2.50 only! However, chicken breast meat is 2X the price! Weird ei? My parents will be happy to know that their daughter only spends 20 pounds per week on groceries. That is because I only buy what I NEED not what I WANT. I have to close my eyes and ignore those lovely chocolate puddings and ice creams. Sad..

Just like anyone else, I was so excited about studying in UK. Staying in a foreign country all alone is not easy. Especially for those who used to be a royalty at home, please be physically and mentally prepared. I said physically is because carrying groceries from Sainsbury (nearest supermarket) back to the Student Village (campus accommodation) is very tiring. Besides that, you have to be mentally strong as well because you will definitely miss your family and friends. Its not that I’m trying to scare you, but long distant relationship falls apart rather easily. So, stay strong!

OH YEA! I forgot! Nowadays people here use online shopping so groceries are sent to their doorstep. Furthermore, the retail industry in UK has begun their green concept. Everything is about environmental friendly. Recyclable plastic bags is just the first step. Lets hope Malaysia will do the same soon. Save the world! wee…!!

Hello everybody! It’s been almost half a year since I run away from home. To a place called University of West of England (UWE). I am currently a second year student in accounting and finance and was a tuning student from Taylor’s University College. UWE is located in Bristol and it is about half hour away from the city central by bus. For those who have never heard of this place, it is a 2 hours journey from London.

The university has four campuses in Bristol and it is approximately 15 minutes away from each other. The campus that I am in is called Frenchay campus, which is also known as the main campus.

Well, UWE is unlike what we usually see on TV where there is no a big green field with an apple tree in the middle nor is the building made out of bricks. However, the campus is quite big and the guys will be please to know that there is a pub here in the campus itself. Other facilities are also available such as 24 hours library, sports centre, football field, gym and 2 cafeterias.

The classrooms and lecture halls are almost the same as Taylor’s but more Hi-Tech. Another celebration is that there is only 1 hour lecture and tutorial classes for each subject. I have only 10 hours of classes per week. :p Well, that is the general view of UWE. My next post will be more detail on.. Hm.. *Surprise! Surprise!*
