For your info, the coffee shop Hen Huat belongs to the CKT woman with goggles. Also, she owns several houses & is well to do. I know where her wealth came from but I cannot reveal it here, OK?

SO FAR?! Probably they kept looking at you cause you look like some reporter with the BIG DSLR The last time I went Penang and ate their Char Kuey Teow also got big prawns (not the same shop, of course) Penang culture?

Eugene Lee, heh… I think the Chinese Sausage went well with the Char Kuey Teow!!

Liz, we didn’t have to line up and bring our own plate to the table. Perhaps we didn’t get to see that “famous” shop. =D Everything sure is increasing in price!

lol. 6.50 for a plate of char kuey teow… chris, did that stall require you to line up under the hot sun and bring your own plate to your table?

if yes, then it’s the stall most local Penangites nickname “only KLites will eat”. coz there’s a stall down Lorong Selamat which serve pretty good char koay teow as well (3 big prawns to boot)- and it’s supposed to be much cheaper (sorry i don’t pay much attention to price, i just eat XD)

well if it’s not the one that you need to line up at, it means Penang is going through one hell of an inflation lol.

I heard that you could opt for oysters or Chinese Sausages to go with the noodles. Sadly we got the Chinese Sausages by default during our last visit..
