Farewell, Edmund Kuah!

Finally, the buddy, Edmund Kuah Chze Yang flies to the United Kingdom to further his studies in ACCA. *sobs* Indeed we have lost a great library companion! DoTA companion and what not. He has definitely played a huge influence in each of our lives, I meant the ACCA bunch.
Edmund have had a series of complications with his visa approval, and I think most of us would think he would end up continue studying in Sunway. Hey he was due to fly on July 5th okay! Haha. I guess in the end, his visa got approved, so yea there he goes.
Having missed the farewell dinner on Thursday night, I promised Edmund I would send him off on Friday evening, and be his photographer as usual. With Su Tyng the driver, Kang Wei, Ivan, Ying Ling and I hopped onto his car and off we went the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

His flight was due to take off at 5.40PM, and since it was an international flight he was required to check in 2 hours before take-off. We were the first batch to reach the airport, thus we managed to join him for the whole check in process, and took some pictures of course.
We then decided to head over to McDonalds to have a sit and have a one last thrash talking session before Edmund decided to join Chun Hoe and Jun Xiong, whose already in London at the moment. Not to mention, some group pictures before we bid the big guy goodbye.

Of course, his high school buddies of Anglo Chinese School (ACS) came to send their buddy, Kuah off too. Though we didn’t really talk much, but there’s one or two I do know that I bumped into them often at college!

I offered to take a picture of Edmund and his family too, namely his parents. His brother and sister weren’t present though, obligations elsewhere perhaps.

It was soon till Hong Khai and the rest arrived, Edgar and bunch were the latest as they arrived minutes before Edmund was required to enter the departure gate.

I was wondering why hasn’t Edmund shed a tear. I believed he was holding everything inside the whole time. Well we did make the whole process abit too hard on him at the end, but we will get to that later.
We took a complete group photograph together right before he entered the hall, and with assistance from Edmund’s dad I got to be in the picture too!

Su Tyng and Ying Ling both wanted a last picture with him separately after that too.

And then the emotional farewell began. Too bad I didn’t have a digital camera to record the whole process, but given the DSLR I hope I managed to capture the chronology of the events. =D

There he goes, entering the gate. I yelled, “Smile, Edmund!” He turned and wave goodbye to us! In my opinion, he was holding back his tears big time. He never looked back after that as he walked across the hall.

Us being us, I admit we were quite the arse sometimes XD We really made it hard for him. We continued yelling from above.
“BYEEEEE EDMUNDDDDD!! TAKE CAREEEEEEEE!!! FAREWELLLLLLL!!!! WE WILL MISS YOUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!! BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! I MISS YOU ALREADYYYYY!!!!!!!!”

There and then, he broke down, but he never looked back. We knew he was crying when he wipe his eyes with his sleeves. Hey, even MAS Slogan agrees with us, “We make it hard to say goodbyes!”
Well Edmund, if you’re reading this. You know we weren’t joking when we yelled we will miss you. =) Take care and all the best in your UK adventure! Please come back in a year’s time.
