Western Bacon Combo at Carl’s Junior

Carl’s Junior – yet another fast food franchise aimed at cashing in on society’s fast paced life. Step aside, Mc Donalds and KFC, Carl’s Junior is here to pawn j00! The servings are much larger and better there – an indication that the franchise is intended for people with a high spending power. A simple combo (set meal) would easily cost somewhere around RM 20! It is not tough to spot a Carl’s Junior – especially if you are in upmarket shopping complexes. Just look for a smiling star that says Carl’s Junior. It is as simple as that. Or you can just look at the directory. =d

A combo set comes with a burger, fries and drink. The size of the servings depend on the size of the combo set ordered (of course). For maximum impact, get yourself the large set! Besides, it only costs a few dollars to go big! I had the large Western Combo for this matter.
Right, back on track. The french fries are to die for! They are cut from potatoes and fried as it is (other fries seems to be made from mashed potatoes). There is an unmistakable difference in texture and flavour between Carl’s Junior’s fries and other fast food outlets. Please be reminded not to eat too much of these – they are loaded with salt and that’s bad news for you! Once a while should be okay. Consult your nearest doctor!

To the main course! The wonderful burger! A Western Bacon burger consists of a few slices of bacon (chicken, sadly), a single beef patty and crispy onion rings. Oh, don’t forget the almighty cheese and barbecue sauce! All these ingredients will give your taste buds a helluva ride! Not to mention your stomach will be exalted!
The large Western Bacon Combo costs RM 21 before tax. If you are slightly tight on your budget, you should consider skipping this one and save it for a meal with your loved ones. On the side note, I will be sick of Carl’s Junior for a long time as I had too much to eat!
It gets a 4/5 and not a perfect score due to the price factor!
