Way to increase platelet count

CoffeeSnoops, Health — By on July 12, 2009 at 2:10 AM

Ladies and Gentleman, my sister have this ITP which i do not know consider it as a disease or a virus. Anyway, because of this ITP, my sister platelet count had been drop to only 2k in 4 months ago. We try out all type of ways, papaya leaf, beetroot, acupuncture and all kind of western and eastern medical method.

The platelet count did increase a bit but it had been up and down at the range between 20 to 50k. Around 1 and a half month ago, an ITP patient call up my mom and said her platelet count had increase to 220k and it had maintain for 2 weeks. She said this happen after she started to eat small bitter gourd and she also ask my sister to try out.

At this stage, friendly speaking we have nothing to lose and give it a try. My sis start to eat 4 small bitter gourd a day. 2 in the morning and 2 after dinner. After less than a week, my sister went for a blood test. Amazingly it had raise to 168k and since then it raise to 260k and now its still maintain at above 200k which it is a perfect good news for the whole family.

I would not say this is 100% can cure ITP or increase the platelet count cause the doctor also said it is all depends on individual. Some may help, some would not.  Anyway, this small vegetable had really increase my sister’s platelet count.

Hopefully my sister’s platelet count can continue maintain more than 200k and for anyone who having low platelet count, i really hope that this can help you.

To eat this small vegetable, first is cut it into 2 pieces, then use a spoon to take out the seeds. Put it inside a blender and blend it until it become watery. Put some honey inside as well so that it would be easier to drink.

Best of luck, god bless.

  • JJ says:

I have been reading all of your post about bitter gourd… It sounds wonderful but I can not find it in my local grocery store. Where can I find it? My 81 year old mother has MDS along with an auto immune antibody that attacks her own red blood cells. She has been fighting this for 2 years. She has started rejecting the platelets and she has to be transfused with 3 units of pack red blood cells every 12 days. At this point I am open to anything that will raise any of her counts. Where can I find bitter gourd? Thanks… JJ
