Pay Rise Strike!
News — By Christopher on May 20, 2009 at 5:06 PMVictorian universities are facing widespread strikes, with staff at six institutions voting on industrial action. Staff are demanding a 20 per cent pay rise, a reduction in the casualisation of the workforce and better conditions for contract researchers. Ballots on action in support of the claims are under way at Melbourne, Monash, Deakin, La Trobe, RMIT and Swinburne. Depending on the outcome of negotiations, NTEU members plan to strike on May 21.

It seems that the campus in Australia would be on strike. I have just received an email confirming it. Let’s have one over here so that our deadlines are pushed forward!

Oh yes! Deadlines be gone due to strike! I wonder why here in Msia no one seems to have the bols to go on strike to have things their way.
