Waterfalls?

If you thought that it was a waterfall, hooray for me! If not, hooray for you! This is my first time attempting to take a flowing body of water. In this case, it’s a gentle stream. The pictures were taken at Desa Park City, where one of my friends resides.

To get the white wash, all you have to do is use a relatively slow shutter speed. Say, 1/10? Make sure you check your exposure or all you get is a white image! Compensate the slower shutter speed with a smaller aperture and a lower ISO. Oh, get yourself a tripod too. Cheers!

I feel both of your pics had the accurate shutter speed. I’ve seen some waterfall shots that are toooooo smooth. I like yours. XD
J´s last blog post was Friday the 13th
J, thanks. I do believe that it is very subjective though. Anyhow, it, as in “the accurate shutter speed” didn’t cross my mind when I was taking the picture. All I wanted was to have the “white wash” effect. I don’t know when I’ll be shooting another water scene as landscape is not really my interest =).
hooray for you! i thought it was a waterfall.
i know nothing bout photography, but it is really nice ^^ wait, correction: absolutely gorgeous.
wow….i like the pic
crop it a bit and u could totally make it look like a huge water fall
Liz, Hei Liz, thanks for the “hooray!”. Thanks for your kind words too =D. Are you the one that influenced Jian Wei with the “^^”?
Kaye, Thank you Kaye. Will take note of that in the future! =D
