Tokyo Disney World
CoffeeTravels — By Wei Ling on October 12, 2008 at 12:00 AMWanting a break from the stress of University life and to mark the start of my 3 months break, I followed my cousins to Tokyo a week ago. This is my first time to Japan and it was a remarkable trip.
We stayed in Hotel Mira Costa which forms part of Tokyo Disney Sea for the first 2 nights. It was fun staying in a Disney Resort for you get to see lots of Disney characters, merchandise etc. Besides that, the room my sis and I shared faces the American Waterfront and we have a perfect view of the Venetian Gondolas.
Below are pictures from the hotel room:

The Gondolas :p
On the 2nd day in Tokyo, we visited Tokyo Disneyland. Unlike our fellow author KKK, my trip to Disneyland was rather sodden. It rained the whole day, and even so, there were so many people in the theme park. Everybody was either wearing a poncho or holding an umbrella.
There are 7 themed areas in Tokyo Disneyland; World Bazaar, Adventure Land, Fantasyland, Toon Town, Critter Country, Western Land and Tomorrow Land. I spent part of my time shopping for souvenirs in the World Bazaar, Hehe..
Before I forget, this place is so safe that people can leave their strollers, wheelchairs etc outside the shops without fear of pilfering. My sis and I saw a baby inside a stroller outside a shop in Disneyland too. Can you imagine that, I wonder what will happen if it’s in Malaysia?
Another interesting fact is that none of the merchandises has RFID codes. The management has such strong faith in the Japanese people that they won’t pilfer. Looking at these situations, we can see how well the Japanese people are brought up. Their tradition and culture makes them different from the rest of the world.

On the 3rd day, we went to Tokyo Disney Sea, which is said to be the most expensive theme park ever built according to Wikipedia. There are also 7 themed areas in Tokyo Disney Sea; Mediterranean Harbour, American Waterfront, Lost River Delta, Port Discovery, Mermaid Lagoon, Arabian Coast, and Mysterious Island.
At first, we went for a ride in the Journey to the Center of the Earth at the Mysterious Island. Haha, my nephew and his dad closed their eyes throughout most of the ride. Thank goodness that no one threw up =D After that, we went to the Mermaid Lagoon where we watched the musical production of “Under the Sea”.
Below are some pictures taken inside Triton’s Kingdom:

We ended the day at Tokyo Disney Sea at Aquatopia of Port Discovery. I nearly vomited because the watercraft kept spinning, twirling and moving backwards. It’s definitely a bad choice for those who just had their lunch. We left early because we had to check out from the hotel by 3.30pm to proceed to Tokyo City.
Alright, that’s all about Tokyo Disneyland. I will update about Tokyo City tomorrow.
Good day everyone

One noticeable difference is the crowd la =d
Of course in Disneyland Japan, you see more Japanese !
Well, I heard 1 of the US’s Disneyland have to use atleast 3 days to finish all the games. So i guess is much more larger than the Hong Kong’s one.
Tokyo, Japan!! =D
JW: You’ve got to visit the Disneyland in California then. Perhaps you’ll change your mind bout Disney =p
JY: HK Disneyland’s the smallest among all Disneyland. That’s another difference :p
