The Venetian, Macau

The third day was free and easy. However, we had to be at Macau harbor at 4pm to meet our tour guide whom will bring us to our hotel. The journey from Hong Kong to Macau lasted an hour. We left our relative’s house at 1.30pm and made our way to Macau. The ferry was very convenience. Ferry frequency is one trip per half an hour.

The tour guide was late for 40 minutes. Luckily, we called the company or we would have went to the hotel ourselves.

I was told by Wei Ling that The Venetian is a very beautiful hotel with casino inside but too bad, that’s not the hotel that I am going to stay overnight. We check in to a hotel call Hotel Taipa Macau, which is quite near from The Venetian.

After settling down, we went out for dinner and then The Venetian. The Venetian was really nice and much better than what I had expected. Even their toilet was one of a kind. Hehe.

The passage to casino

The Venetian, is not just a hotel and casino. They also have a food court and a place to shop. People who love branded stuff will fall in love with that place. For someone who doesn’t know much about branded things like me, fret not. You will definitely enjoy the environment. The shopping section is located behind the casino. We have to walk past the casino before reaching there.

The style in the shopping session was something new to me. The first word which came out from my mouth was ”WOW”. Here’s a few pictures of it.

Have a ride?

If people ask how do you feel about Sunway Pyramid’s toilet, I would say – stylish.
If people ask how do you feel about The Venetian’s toilet, I would say – handsome.

I don’t know about everyone but this was the first time I saw an autosoap. Autowater has been introduced in Malaysia a long time ago. This autosoap made me feel as though as I have never been into the toilet before. Lol.

Anyone seen a curved elevator before? This was my first time too. It amazed me.

The minimum age to enter a casino in Macau is 18 years old. This means that I am legal to enter the premises. Haha. People over there gamble very big in each game. The minimum bet is 100 Hong Kong Dollars (HKD). It is weird because the casinos in Macau prefer HKD more than their own currency. I saw a slot machine and sat down for 45 minutes. I lost 20 HKD man. People lose money in casinos because they do not leave the game with their spoils. They usually will only leave the game if they do not have time or after they lost all of their capital. Why? It is because humans are greedy. I experienced that too. I won around 60 HKD but I stayed on and lost 20 HKD in the end.

Morale of the story is – gambling is just for fun, not to win money:)
