First Night In Hong Kong
Woot, for the first time since I was 3 years old, I was finally out of South East Asia. My family and I went to Hong Kong at 4pm on the 26th September. The whole trip was 7 days 6 nights. 3 nights in Hong Kong, 1 night in Macau and 2 nights in Shen Zhen, China. Yup, 3 countries in 7 days. However, they are under the same government (who cares about that when you are in holiday right? lol).
My flight was delayed for 20 minutes. By the time I lay foot on Hong Kong soil, it was already around 8pm. We were picked by our tour guide after we got our luggage. Our first stop was not a hotel, but my relative’s house, or should I say an apartment - which majority of Hong Kong citizens are living in.
The apartment has a living hall, a kitchen the size of my home toilet, 2 bedrooms which fit just a single size bed and a bath room. I am glad is normal sized. Anyway, the best thing was that there are only 2 relatives staying there (The apartment was meant for an occupancy of two persons). All 7 of us squeezed in that apartment. Me, father, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and a cousin. It was an interesting first night. lol.
My Hong Kong relatives are very friendly and traditional. They prepared supper to welcome us. We reached her house at 9.30pm and were treated to ‘Tang Yuan’ and ‘Mi Suah’ (both are chinese traditional food) and fruits as well. My aunt is is a vegetarian and this the first time I have tasted delicious vegetarian food

The view from my seat

Clouds

My first ever dinner on an aeroplane

Taxi stand - there is no need to worried about transport problem in Hong Kong. Taxi and buses are everywhere. It is very convenience. However, taking the taxi will cost a lot there.

Double-decker bus
Bamboo sticks for construction? - I didn’t know that Hong Kong still uses bamboo sticks for construction. Based on what I have learned in mechanical engineering, it is not save at all. Maybe they have their own way there.

Tang Yuan

Mi Suah, fruits with chinese tea

The size of the bedroom

They are sitting on me and my cousin’s bed - imagine how we squeezed there that night. By the way, this is actually the size of the living hall.

i went to HK twice. but i never went into any house. i’m convinced now that the houses there are really small.
Chris: Everything that can go in to your mouth are very expensive there man..haha
J: Din see Chong Wei man, only a few Hong Kong judges.
Shu Yee: Yup, it is my relative house. I will like it if it’s only 2 to 4 people staying and not 9 people…lol
SeanC: I heard Ocean Park is nicer than Disneyland but i still choose to go Disneyland insteed:)
Yeechinn: I think in Hong Kong every inches of land = money there, so houses and shop will be in very small size:)
