Photography Workshop
I had an opportunity to attend a photography workshop organised by the youths of Ying Wei’s church yesterday. The admission to the workshop was free, so I decided to tag along for it.
The speaker for the workshop was Henry Chiah, a part time photographer while working as an accountant. After some praise and worship, the speaker was introduced and the workshop commenced.
He talked about what is photography, and basically the criterias of how to take a good photo, and also explained about compositions of a good picture. Items like the rules of third, angle of the view, etc.
… and whaddaya know, he has a website!
We were broken up into groups to begin on our little assignments with two bars of soap, applying the theories he taught us before hand. These were basically some of the shots I love for the day.
Oh yea, I met a new friend too! =D
Meet Joshua!
When we were introduced by Ying Wei, he told me I looked familiar, and I said the same to him. Only then we found out we seen each other in Revolution last year, the one held at Sri Sedaya School.
The workshop ended slightly past 6pm, after Mr. Henry evaluated our photos and gave valuable advices on them.
I guess I benefited from the workshop, as before this, I didn’t really emphasize much on how I shoot my pictures, my style of shooting was just a casual one. I shoot what I see and what I like, I guess its never too late to learn then. =D
