Faces of ECHO 2008

Taking the opportunity of the photoshoot that Jaqueline and I conducted last Thursday, I shall do a brief write up on the line up of the ECHO Board of 2008. =D

Sub-Editor, Yeang Su-lyn.

Oh the ever bubbly Su-lyn! xD She was the first ECHO member that I knew, after we were given our first unofficial assignment upon appointment as ECHO members to cover on a talk event in Sunway University College. Su-lyn, Janice and I to be more precise. Hahaha, little did I know this young lass was quite a funny person back then.

Apparently, my D40 turns Su-lyn into a small kid. I mean, seriously. XD

“Nickkkkk, I want to playyyyy with your cameraaaaaaa~ *puppy eyes*”

HAHAHAHHA I couldn’t stop laughing when she went on and on with it. What was also a small world was that, she attends FGT, the church that Su-ann and Cae Me attend! Hahaha, and the event that Coffeestops covered few days before Valentines, was the outcome of her effort. w00t!

Chief/Senior Graphics Designer, Adrian Samuel Limanto.

The guy who came all the way from Indonesia to join us XD hey that was what Terence said okayyy! Hahahaha. He has been working hand in hand with the E-Content Department with the HTML codes, since he worked as a web designer before back in his hometown called Surabaya.

Adrian is a nice guy. A gentlemen, nonetheless. He would not hesitate to offer his help if anyone ever needs it. I’ve seen it happening, and also experienced it myself =D We cliqued fast within the first week, and we are all now sharing jokes whenever theres an ECHO meeting!

Chief/Senior Photographer, Jaqueline P’ng.

I can’t remember how we bonded, Jaq. HAHA! but if there’s one thing I would say about her, its her sense of humour xD. Being proud owners of the Nikon D40, we cliqued fast when it comes to camera talks? Hahaha. Having called me ‘ah kor’ (Big Brother) after our partnership during the Sunway Recruitment Week and also the Post Election Analysis thing, I honestly enjoyed working with her.

Teasing her has become an hobby. =p

Definitely looking forward to our future partnership, Jaq! Haha your absence during the G-Race was deeply missed xD. We got to interview the Amazing Race Asia Season 2′s 1st runner-up, Pamela and Vanessa!

E-Content Editor, Maryam Jameelah (MJ)

My other boss. (I work under three bosses! LOL) MJ studied in Arab Saudi although she’s a Malaysian. Hahaha, that was why I find her tone of language rather different than local Malay. =D

She is humble! Yes she isss!! zomg so humble I can kiss the moon. Hahahaha, and definitely friendly. Despite being my boss and put in charged of many of the online issues, namely our ECHOnline (not launched yet!), she never intends to boss me around and she does her job well! Seriously, MJ, you’re talented =D haha.

Writer/Journalist, Brenda Chan.

One word, cute. HAHA! The G-Race has provided me a better chance of getting to know her better since the last time we really spoken to each other was after our 1st official ECHO meeting. Another smart one not to be taken lightly of, she shoots with sense and shows no mercy!! Argh! xD

A graduate of Catholic High. *sheesh~!* Hahahahaha. As I was saying, CUTE! HAHAHAHA! She stared blankly at me and questioned my sanity as I told her I woke up at 5.50am on Saturday for G-Race. Since Terence asked us to be at college by 7am. Our little friend here, woke up at 7am. HAHA!

My partner in the photography department, well at least we have worked together twice. For the Sunway Recruitment Week and The Amazing G-Race. Hahaha, initially I see Yi Ting as someone shy, perhaps we were all new to each other then. However, after getting along with her, oh noooo Yi Ting is no longer shyyy! HAHA!

She is now determined to own a DSLR by start saving up for one. How great is t3h influence from Jaqueline and I, muahahahaha. Ever since experiencing the trigger happiness of the D40, she is now looking for every possible chance to play with mine. HAHA!

Secretary, Chiam Shien Yin.

Our boss, Terence’s PA. LOL! PA stands for Personal Assistant, don’t listen to Chris, he calls it the Phantom Assasin -.-” HAHAHA! So far, Shien Yin has been the only one I have not really talked to. Quiet? Hahaha. However, recent MSN conversations have proved otherwise =D so hopefully it is heading for the better! w00t!

A&P Executive, Yap Su Tynn

Su Tynn is our latest recruitment! After Andrea Mah that is. =D He is filling in for the remaining vacancy of the A&P Executives (We were hiring 2 A&Ps) and since Andrea Mah has taken up the earlier seat, Su Tynn is now officially Andrea’s partner.

How ironically, both are my classmates. LOL! From the departure of Michelle to BDO, which left me being the sole ACCA in ECHO, and all of a sudden the number increased to three ACCAs! Terence, beware~! Muahahah!

Graphics designer, Justin Lee.

The only CIMP student in ECHO. (Nyehehehe~ I’m not the only one who was on a solo mission) CIMP has their own council and editorial board, is that true? =0 Probably thats why, that explains the number, doesn’t it? Hahaha.

Girls say he’s cute? *shrugs* I don’t know, I’m not gay! HAHA! You should consult Terence, he’s having some gay tendencies lately. *runs* Anyway, Justin is by far a modest guy that I think we will all learn to celebrate his presence in the board! =D

Graphics designer, Janelle Khoo.

HAH! This one. XD Ever since I took her ‘want-to-kill-nick-wong’ look back in the Post Elections Analysis event, I have been teasing her on the issue. LOL! Janelle’s a sweet girl, she wouldn’t mind. Hor? *runs if she ever reads this*

I guess Janelle’s friendly? Haha I was able to get along fine with her right away during the Recruitment Week. w00t! and we have been getting back at each other lately xD. Okay, more like TRYING to get back at me. Too bad, I too pro she cannot survive. HAHAHAH! With the brains and the looks, she is set to lighten up the atmosphere of the board.

Oh well, what else can I say about myself? XD *avoids commenting before anybody decides to throw stones at their monitors*

There are still many of them, as they forgot to wear their ECHO uniform on Thursday, hence they did not have their portraits taken. Anyway, doesn’t apply to Andrea, she hasn’t gotten her shirt yet. Su Tynn’s one was Adrian’s haha.
