WARNING: LONG POST AHEAD, NOT 56K FRIENDLY.

I have officially graduated!! =D … from CAT that is. No, I still have ACCA to complete. *sigh* but well, technically … yours truly can start working already! *beams* For the record, CAT equivalent to diploma level mahhh, or what my dad called it - equivalent to 1st year degree.

Anywayyy … Sunway University College or Sunway TES held the 16th CAT/ACCA Graduation Ceremony at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre on Saturday. Students who have completed the CAT/ACCA course or those obtaining the OBU Accountancy degree were invited to attend the honorable ceremony.

Okay okay story cut short, the students were required to gather at the convention centre by 7.30am blah blah blah and I overslept blah blah blah, drove out of the house at 7.18am, rushed all the way (since the traffic lights were all green throughout the journey) at 100km/hr (Dad, if you’re reading this, no this is just the rounded up figure, I drove slower than that, don’t ban me from driving LOL!) … managed to park the car infront of the lift at 7.32am blah blah went up there 7.35am and the place was empty. -_____-”

I had forgotten about the Malaysian Standard Timing (MST) Rule.

The rehearsal only started at around 8.45am =.=”, around there lah. So in the meantime, with everyone well clad in formal shirt and ties, blouse and dresses for the ladies, the camera just won’t stop flashing.

Then we were ushered into the hall for briefing, and soon we were told how we would enter the hall and the events that follow after. We were sorted according to our registered numbers, and were asked to line up according to it. After rehearsal, we were then given time to put on our robes, or make up for the girls.

With everyone dressed in robes, what else was there to do except for more pictures? Right?! XD

Its an inside joke from the previous Group 3. Edmund and I were the blur ones in class, hence the name Budak Khas was borned, because Ms. Geetha thinks we are special.

Haha! …and we were asked to look up to Ms. Geetha whenever we are blur and say:
“Ms. Geetha, oh pleaseee show us the light~~!” and we did that during PTs. HAHA!

My favourite lecturer indeed, and also a friend, there are times we confided in each other, her doubts and my opinions. She was the only lecturer I called a Donkey HAHA! and then she called me her Shrek.

… -.-” LOL! Anyway thanks for coming to the graduation for us, Ms. Geetha! We talked on the phone a few weeks back, and she was really really happy that all of us were graduating, and despite being sick on Saturday, she came to see us! =D

She was the reason I didn’t give up on ACCA last time, there was this time I was on the verge of quitting, she phoned me up and gave me some valuable advices, she’s a mentor, a lecturer, a listener and definitely my friend! =) So for that I am really thankful for her to be part of my life.

Parents started arriving after 9.30am. So after all is set, we were ready for action. Lines after lines, we walked the red carpet into the hall. It was OUR day after all xD. We were led to our respective rows, and then the host was introduced and the usual speeches followed.

I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but gosh Mr. Teo’s speech was ….. well just like how Pei Yi worded it in her blog, just like another Law class. Sooo true. -.-”

The scroll presentation was nerve breaking, I wasn’t panic at all at first, but as my turn drew nearer, I felt a sudden chill down the spine, gosh I was beginning to get nervous LOL! Nope, I didn’t trip over anything, mind you -.-”

Everything was well =D, walked up the stage, thanked the Dr.Khadijah (correct spelling ke?), shook her hand, shook Mr. Teo’s hand (which Chi Loong, the conductor of the rehearsal reminded us over and over again to shake his hand XD) then walked back down to own seat. -end-

CAT/ACCA group picture followed after the parents were invited upstairs for the big feast (which wasn’t so big after all, will come to that later). Pictures are currently unavailable, as we have to pay RM50 for the pictures, and then collect it some days later.

Yes, the food. The food … sucked. RM90 was a total rip off, rip till left right centre, up bottom till my parents also cannot recognise. It sucked so bad that the parents sitting opposite my parents can’t stop complaining.

Went to Starbucks with Jess and Chun Hoe for a drink, since movie tickets were sold out, so in the end we spent the whole day there. We were then joined by Kay Sim and his high schoolmate, who was also my primary classmate, Shyan Jen.

Just couldn’t help not promoting Starbucks XD
