Port Dickson Trip - Yiling’s Open House
Tuesday night: sms from Yiling: “Eh, you free this weekend ah?”
I was a little stumped. What could Yiling possibly ask of me during the weekends? Well, I promptly returned her call to clarify matters, it seems she was planning to have an open house at her place in PD, so she’s inviting a bunch of monkeys friends there. I was really psyched up! PD = BEACH yang elek di Shah Alam dan Subang Jaya. Besides, I am a Malaysian mah! Free food is always good food!
So I agreed!
(Fast forward to Friday)
I could crucify myself. I went to INTEC at 6.15 am in the morning supposedly with my IXUS camera. But when I reached there, I realised that I forgotten to bring it! What the hell man! I was so pissed at myself that I actually thought of going back home to get it. But rationale thinking soon descended upon Jian Wei. I went without my camera! Sniff Sniff! I have failed the coffeestops ethos…
We rocketed off Shah Alam with a 3.15pm bus with Uma as our tour guide! Reached Yiling’s house at 6 pm. HER HOUSE IS FREAKING HUGE!! (AND I DIDN’T TAKE THE PIC OF HER HOUSE!! *bangs head on the wall*) Since we were waiting for our friends who will be joining us later, Yoke Peng, Hui Theng and I decided to walk to the nearby beach to feel the sand!

I seriously tried posing! But I just have to accept reality that I look like shit…….can’t beat Edmund lah!
NVM! Since the posing failed….I reverted into the normal Jian Wei peace style…..damn…don’t cough blood k!

The open house was really cool! Firstly, PD is really relaxing. It really did helped me to get my mind off the hectic schedule of ADFP. Besides, this is the first time, I get to chat with my friends without going into academics. Besides, I really love travelling. I realised that if I travel myself, I tend to be more alert and inquisitive.
I was really psyched up and wanted to watch the sunrise from the beach! Uma was my partner in crime! Having planned our laborous scheme, most of our friends decided to hit the sack, leaving Yiling and I awake. We decided that we ain’t gonna sleep! And we really didn’t!
I had a HARD time trying to get Uma up! We missed the sunrise though…not that it could be seen….the beach was at the wrong direction. But nonetheless, we WENT TO THE BEACH!! YIPEE!

Pity Timothy couldn’t join us though! HAHA! Not that I’m complaining….I was the only boy! HAHA! All I could now say is that the trip was DAMN SHORT! We each had to go back the very next day (left PD at 9.30am) for various reasons. I really think that more of such trips should be organised.
Such trips does bring one to reality: We’re all leaving soon and it’ll be a matter of time before we start working. I guess sometimes we just have to slow down, take a few pauses to savour the last moments of studenthood.
