Ki Wen’s Birthday Party

Last Sunday, the 17th, a classmate of mine, Ki Wen had her birthday celebration at her humble home in Old Klang Road. She invited half of the class to her party, which started off at 5pm. I had guests at home around that time, so I arrived much later at 7pm. Lucky me, the feast has not started =D hahahaha.

When I arrived, the favourite past time of the class was taking place. Most of them were gambling LOL. Some were helping out to set up fire for the barbeque stove. Without further delaying, I took out the camera and started work xD.

All pictures were taken using Christopher’s Canon 400D, my D40 was ‘kidnapped’ by Jian Wei, who had some presentation to do about cameras, so I had to take Christopher’s 400D as hostage. LOL!

Can’t say I was all that comfortable with the 400D, as the decision to swap cameras only occurred few hours before the party, thus not having enough time to get used to the functions. So, hopefully I don’t disappoint!

Ki Wen has a nice garden.

Shortly after I arrived, the birthday girl’s family ushered everyone to gather around for the candle blowing ceremony. I was caught off my feet as everything happened so fast, and with a camera I am not entirely familiar with yet, I admit I was in quite a panicked mood. LOL!

Corey was present! He used to be in Group 2, but after accepting the ICAEW offer, he has gone off to work as a junior auditor in BDO Binder as the ICAEW programme requires you to work and study at the same time. So is Philip!

After the cake blowing ceremony, it was time to eat! The guys gathered outside of the house for the usual chit-chats while munching on the food. Just when Ki Wen came out of the house, I stood up with my orange juice.

“For Ki Wen!”

The rest arose from their seats, and when all was ready …..

The bunch was separated into two groups late into the night. One was obviously the gambling bunch, whereas the other group gathered themselves in a circle and started playing a game called Mafia. Where in the game, everyone will be given a card and assigned different roles according to the shape of the cards. (Spade – Mafia, Heart – Doctor, Club – Civilian, Diamond – Spy).

It was a case of the Mafias vs Civilians, where both sides will have to guess who are the Mafias and Civilians and eliminate them haha. Doctor picks randomly who to heal and Spies are suppose to assist the civilians in guessing who the Mafias were.

We managed to take another group photo, unfortunately some were not included as they have already gone back.

I decided to make a move at 10.30pm, after thanking Ki Wen’s parents for their generous hospitality and Ki Wen for inviting me to her wonderful party, I hopped onto the Waja of my dad’s and headed back home to Subang Jaya.
