Farewell!

Iain Low has been serving in the Youth Ministry as Youth Leader for three years. Besides leading the youths, he has been serving in various ministries such as worship. Time went by and now, the time has come for him to leave the nest. In a matter of a few days more, he will be pursuing his studies in engineering in Melbourne, Australia. In fact, a family from my church shifted there quite a while ago. Hopefully that serves as a consolation for Iain when he misses us back here in Malaysia!

Iain Low delivering his speech

For the farewell dinner, the youth leadership team decided to have it at Naili’s, USJ 10 Taipan. The time was set at 6.00 PM. I left the house with my sister at 5.40 PM with me behind the wheel. Taipan is well known for its massive traffic and limited parking spots. However, I was lucky enough to spot a car reversing just before the restaurant. At the restaurant, Caxton, Jessica and Ammie were already waiting at the table. However, I was not late! I was on time with a few minutes to spare! A while later, both pastors arrived and we started ordering the food. One thing for sure, it was not cheap at all! Drinks, definitely cut throat.

Receiving the gift

The first plate arrived. I thought it was Iain’s but the rest of them were claiming that it was mine and they heard me ordering that. I was confused until I looked at the menu again. Memory lost. Heh. I had “kampung” fried rice – RM 8 ++. As for drinks, I had mango twist. Mango + lemon + ice cream soda = mango twist = RM 8.90. What the hey! Everybody’s food came after that and we fellowshipped. Iain gave a speech and received a prize from my sister, the current Youth Leader (she prefers to call herself coordinator)! We parted ways at 7.30 PM as prayer meeting was due later in church. Cheers!

P/S : Some bad news as Iain’s flight is delayed. He will only be leaving for Australia on Monday! Oh crap! =p
