Birthday Celebration

Drats, I am one year older! It feels only like yesterday that I am a fifteen year old teenager in high school. At eighteen I am beginning to feel “old” especially around the younger youths in church! Oh well, everyone has to grow up someday! I am now legal to do lots of stuff (Refers to Nicholas’ blank). I am still young at heart but maybe my mind has aged dramatically over these years. Had replacement class on Saturday. My friends were kind enough to have a small birthday celebration for me. Thanks a bunch!

The birthday cake

We borrowed some matches from the chemistry laboratory to light up the candles. We lost our lighter “supplier” as he no longer attends the class after dropping the subject. The candles were lit up and then came the birthday song. My friend volunteered to take pictures for me – now I can appear in pictures!

Placing the candles

Classmates

Blew the candles after making some far fetched wishes. I do not believe in wishes but in effort. Okay fine, maybe some wishes do come true but don’t go on wishing to be Albert Einstein or something. Posed for the camera while slicing the cake. It’s nice having someone to take your pictures. You get to look back at yourself when you are older. Remember, always appreciate photographers!

Cut the cake

The girls then cut the cakes into slices to be distributed to everyone in the class. With so few people in the class, there was cake left. Usually the cake is finished there and then. I kept the cake for lunch!

Distribution

So what’s so great being eighteen? Well you get to go to jail and you get to watch cinema shows that are rated eighteen and above – that is if they even bother to check. Eighteen – freedom? More like added responsibility to me. Have to start acting like an adult soon! Cheers!
