A Pleasant Surprise
It has been weeks after my birthday, and honestly speaking, I would have gotten over the celebration and started living a year older. Well I mean it happens every year, at least it has been the same for the past 18 years of my life.
However, I was in for a surprise this year, 3 weeks after my birthday, which was on the 8th of February.
I came home feeling tired from Tax class in the morning at 2pm. Without showering, I lied on the sofa in the living room and took a brief nap. A phonecall woke me up half an hour later I think …
Ying Wei: “Hello, Nick? Nick!”
Me: “Yeap.”
Ying Wei: “You at home right?”
Me: “Yea, why?”
Ying Wei: “Ok, bye.”
I honestly did not suspect anything out of the ordinary by then, perhaps you can blame my grogginess having just woke up from a nap or just simply because Ying Wei calling me up for nothing is pretty much a common thing for the past few years.
I got up and went to the study desk to sort out my bag. (zomg the amount of tax homework can kill, i mean REALLY can kill.) Shortly, somebody stopped by my house. The maid attended to the visitors, but couldn’t verify their identities, and so she called out for me, and when I walked up to the front door. I saw two VERY familiar figures.
It was Ying Wei, along with Pei Yi, who drove over to my house! *bangga* LOL!
Ying Wei: “Nah, happy birthday, dude!” *hands over a blue-ish box*
Pei Yi: “This was why I went out just nowww!”
Ying Wei: “Open it, NOW!”
To be honest, I was both speechless yet excited at the same time. Alot was running through my mind, but I just couldn’t utter anything. I was totally lost at words.
And so I obeyed, and I opened the box.

Its pretty much self-explanatory xD
I was half expecting some potong stim stuff anyway LOL! but I never thought it would be THIS straight forward HAHA! Its a statement T-shirt if you were wondering what was it.
The duo burst out laughing when they saw my expression after I opened the box. I guess it was priceless, no? XD Attached with the shirt was notes containing their personal messages. LOL!
Aside from saying ‘Thank you!’, I really had no idea what else to say to these two wonderful individuals who have taken the effort to transport the present all the way to my house. Honestly lor, this was my first time having somebody gatecrashing my house to deliver my birthday present, so infact I was really touched. Beyond words. LOL!
I guess they made my day alright. =D
Thank you both, once again!
P/S - Thank you too, Riley for your mug! I have not forgotten about your gift! xD
P/P/S- Also to the classmates in Group2, I think we are the only group which has a birthday committee LOL! Thank you all for the RM100 angpau =DD I invest in my DSLR then I repay you all by taking good shots lah ok? XD
