To Hong Kong I Went (Day 5)

Christopher

It was the fifth and final day my family and I would be in Hong Kong. Woke up in the morning and did all the packing. This time, our luggages were way lighter. Nice. As this was the last day I will be spending in Hong Kong, I took the initiative to take even more photos compared to the other days. I cannot remember what I had for breakfast but all I know is that I ate very little.

The place we bunked in

After breakfast, we returned to our room for our luggages. Made last minute checks on our inventory too. Satisfied, we left the room and made our way to the office. Checked out, returned the keys and inquired whether we could leave our luggages there. Yes we could. Walking down the steps towards the main road, there were many landmarks all around. Took a few photos of them.

The founder

Met up with the rest ( My second sister with her two friends - Malaysians ) and walked to Kennedy Town. Instead of using the route with endless flight of stairs, we walked the longer router. It was not as tiring as the former however. On the way, spotted a few “unique” posters. I shall post one only anyhow.

The main road

Wanted!

What did we do in Kennedy Town? We had desserts and shopped for chocolates, sweets and Chinese New Year decorations. Did some window shopping too. There was this contraption at a shop selling Chinese New Year decorations that got me laughing for a while. It was not funny to the others. It was just me. Heh. Walking along the streets, saw some shops trying to advertise in English. It was in vain as they had only butchered the language! Spotted a Malaysian restaurant too!

Malaysians everywhere

As noon reached, we parted ways with hugs at the bus stop. It was time to return to my country! At the airport, we did some shopping too. Foodstuff. While waiting to board the plane, there were a few people doing some survey on travelers’ experiences while in Hong Kong. I took the survey and guess what? I got a free souvenir! So remember to do the survey when you are leaving Hong Kong! Very helpful if you had not find any souvenir. Boarded the plane about 5 PM and that was good bye to Hong Kong! At least for now. Cheers!
